The Hotel Ava located at 800 Garden St. in Laredo is being converted into a new hotel in a renovation estimated to cost over $10 million.
The property is being converted into a Double Tree by Hilton hotel according to a permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Despite being filed on Wednesday, March 6, the permit lists a projected start date of Feb. 15. It is scheduled to complete by Sept. 15, 2024.
In total, the project covers 121,500 square feet. It has an estimated cost of $10,104,572.
Hotel Ava is located in the Western Division neighborhood and is connected to the convention center.
